The aim is to improve the accuracy of our prognosis tool and develop it further. Your participation is therefore a valuable contribution to CED research.
Our three-month digital study runs entirely from home. You answer a few short questions in our app every day - it only takes 1-2 minutes.
If you forget a day, you can enter the data retroactively for up to three days.
No, the measurement of heart rate variability (HRV) is voluntary. If you don't have your own wearable, you can still take part. If you wish, we can currently lend you chest straps for measurement - just get in touch with us.
Yes, in order to take part, you must be at least 18 years old and have a diagnosed chronic inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Other illnesses are not an exclusion criterion - simply state them when registering.
You can continue to use the app after the study. Your data will help us to improve the accuracy of the prognosis in the long term and you will continue to benefit from the app's functions. In addition, we are already working on other helpful tools that will offer you even more support and control in dealing with IBD. In the long term, we want to provide you with tools to keep a better eye on your health and actively manage it.
Yes, participation in the study is completely free of charge for you.
Heart rate variability (HRV) describes the fluctuations in the time between two heartbeats. It is an important indicator of the balance between your stress level and your recovery.
There is no difference - the terms heart rate variability (HRV) and heart rate variability (HRV) are used interchangeably.
The connection is made via the Terra API. In the app, you will be guided step by step through the process to successfully connect your wearable. You can establish or deactivate the connection at any time in your profile under "Link wearable". If you have any questions or problems, please contact us at kontakt@core-way.de.
No, it is sufficient if you wear the smartwatch at night. An average HRV value from the night is completely sufficient for the study.
No, the measurement of HRV is optional. If you are unable to record HRV data, simply indicate this when registering. You can change this setting in your profile at any time. Participation is also possible without HRV measurement.
Your HRV values are forwarded directly to us by linking your wearable. There is therefore no need to enter your HRV on a daily basis. For a reliable transmission of your HRV, make sure that you have connected your wearable. You can check this in your profile under "Wearables".
